Engineered Foams, Building and Construction
JSP plastic foams combine the beneficial properties of materials such as fiberglass, polystyrene, cork, rubber and both closed- and open-cell foams.

A New Generation of Foams for Building and Construction

JSP engineered foams, such as Brock™ Foam, is a viable replacement in many building material applications for fiberglass, polystyrene, cork, rubber and both closed-cell and open-cell foams.

Construction applications include:

  • Thermal and Acoustic Insulation
  • Underlayment for ceramic tile
  • Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) and Siding
  • Flooring
  • Drainage
  • House Wrap

Brock™ Foam, made exclusively by JSP, helps overcome some of the negative properties of existing materials, such as the moisture trapping and fiber release.

Comprised of JSP plastic foams, with a special adhesive technology, Brock™ Foam is non-fibrous and cannot absorb or trap moisture due to the macro pores between the beads.

Engineered Foams, Building and Construction
JSP foam products are ideal for use beneath hardwood flooring and ceramic tile.

Brock Foam cuts with a razor knife for fitting and fabrication purposes. It has rebound characteristics not found in polystyrene insulation, and can help reduce construction site waste due to breakage of fragile insulation materials.

Brock properties that benefit construction include:

  • Moisture proof
  • Mildew resistant
  • Easy to fabricate
  • Safe to handle
  • Non-fibrous
  • Resilient, durable
  • Insulates
  • Flexibility
