ARPEX® xEPE is a closed-cell cross-linked expanded polyethylene bead foam that provides exceptional versatility for applications requiring cushioning. ARPEX® is both very soft, yet has structural strength and resillience that combine to provide a unique range of seating solutions.

ARPEX® provides a reasonable alternative to polyurethane in some automotive applications. It weighs less and is more durable than polyurethane foam, molds faster and allows molding of a section as thin as 6 to 7 mm.

In a one-piece rear seat "halo" component, the comfort ring surrounding a rear seat that includes side bolsters and headrests, ARPEX® helps reduce the number of parts required, such as steel wire frames, and related assembly labor.

ARPEX® does not absorb water or become brittle over time. Applications range from automotive seating, sports equipment to floor underlayment, and more.
