ARPRO Molded Parts - Molding and Techniques

Internal Hinges

Interal Hinges
ARPRO® parts can be made self-hinging due to its resilience and durability.

Why Make Many Parts When One Will Do?

Like a clamshell, parts made from ARPRO® EPP can be connected by a molded hinge that connects the halves, thus creating in a single step a self-hinging product that would otherwise require numerous parts and unnecessary labor.

Because ARPRO® is so resilient and flexible, an internal hinge is remarkably durable through a high number of open / close cycles, and can help eliminate the need for parts such as screws, hinges and rivets, as well as the related assembly labor.

Applications for this technique include tool kits, carrying cases, reusable packaging for sensitive instruments, beverage coolers, food containers, and more.
