ARPRO Molded Parts - Molding and Techniques

Multiple Density

Multiple Density
Different densities of ARPRO® can be molded within the same component.

A Single ARPRO® EPP Part Can Be Harder Here, Softer There

This JSP innovation, which received the prestigious Hall of Fame Award from the Society of Plastics Engineers, produces a single ARPRO® EPP part or component with different densities within it.

A part with multiple densities, generally used for structural or performance purposes, allows a single part to have multiple functions.

A classic example of Multiple Density ARPRO® is automotive bumper cores, or energy absorbers, where higher densities of ARPRO® bead foam are molded into impact zones, and lower densities are used for structural purposes and for space filler.

We have produced ARPRO® molded parts containing up to four different densities.
