ARPRO - Technical Grades

Dissipative

A Higher Degree of Static Protection for Moulded Packaging

Very similar to ARPRO® Anti-Static, ARPRO® Dissipative provides a slightly higher degree of anti-static performance, and is used based on the specific requirements of the end use application.

Plastics are typically very poor conductors of electricity, making them ideal for electrical insulation. Thermoplastic polymers such as ARPRO® EPP have a surface resistivity measuring from 1012 to 1016 ohms per square, which is characteristic of a poor conductor of electrical charge.

ARPRO® Dissipative  is used for moulding and fabricating packaging materials used for sensitive electronic equipment and other products where static discharge is undesirable. ARPRO® Dissipative contains additives that reduce surface resistivity to less than 109 Ω/surf, and promote rapid static decay to protect against sparking.

Applications where ARPRO® Dissipative is beneficial include:

  • Continuous processing plants
  • Electronic / electrical equipment manufacturing
  • Food packaging
  • Healthcare services
  • Military hardware and electronics.

JSP can produce anti-static ARPRO® EPP foam products along a scale of surface resistivity. Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
