Applying to JSP

In your cover letter and CV do make sure to tell us what makes you unique!

After applying to JSP we will review the information you provide.  If you appear to be a possible match for the position, we will contact you, initially by telephone, to learn more about your background and to answer your questions about our hiring process and what it’s like to work at JSP.

Your CV / Résumé, as well as the cover letter, should include your name, email, phone and address. If you use acronyms, please explain them. Your CV / Résumé should accurately reflect your achievements and accomplishments. We are particularly interested in projects you have completed and how they relate to the position for which you are applying. Do please include job titles, employer’s names and dates of employment.  Please also provide a brief description of the companies you have worked for. We are interested in your “key accomplishments” in each role and the impact your efforts had. Do customise your CV by highlighting the skills that are relevant to the position you are applying for.

Phone interview

The phone interview assesses your skills and proficiency, to determine whether you should be brought in for in-person interviews. Typically phone interviews last about 20-30 minutes.

Onsite interview

Our interview evaluates your skills, but places greatest emphasis on your attitude. We genuinely hire for attitude, not for experience. During the interview process, you’ll meet with several persons so we can establish a fair cross-section view of you. Interviewers will ask you questions related to your past experience as well as how you would tackle certain work issues and situations. We are not just interested if your answers are right or wrong, but the process by which you approach and solve the questions. Creativity is important and positive mental attitude is essential. Typically onsite interviews last about 3 to 4 hours, with breaks. Individual interviews usually take between 1 to 2 hours. You should expect to be talking 75% of the time.

Assessment

Virtually every person who interviews at JSP talks to at least four interviewers, drawn from across functional areas. The process is designed to ensure our hiring process is fair and also to maintain exceptionally high standards as we grow. It does take time, but we believe it’s worth it. We believe that if we hire great people and involve them intensively in the hiring process, we will get more great people.

What happens next?

Following your interviews, we will decide if you are suitable for the job opening. Of course, you also decide about us. We wouldn’t want it any other way. We take hiring very seriously. We will keep in touch with you throughout the process and do also feel free to get in touch with us at any time.
